Kimberly Morris is the author of 60 books for children and young adults, many of them for popular series including Disney Fairies, That’s So Raven, Animorphs, Mary Kate and Ashley, Real Kids Readers, DK Family Classics, Sweet Valley and many others. Her credits also include read-aloud stories for the Muppets, Muppet Babies, and Fraggle Rock, and scripts for the television classic, ThunderCats.
Kimberly presents entertaining and informative programs to students Pre-K-12, teachers, and general audiences. Participants learn: what it’s like to work with popular series characters like Tinker Bell or The Animorphs; how to write for different genres; how to use logic in conjunction with creativity; why some writers use pseudonyms; and how to turn favorite activities into well-paid writing careers.
As the Director of Project Development for Publishing Matters, Kimberly also facilitates collaborative writing and custom publishing projects for schools, corporations, and nonprofits. Just For Now: Kids and the People of the Court, was published by Child Advocates, Inc. (Houston CASA) and written in collaboration with 250 professional and volunteer advocates for children. Mystery of the Chupacabra (Book I of The Inventors Club), included the participation of more than 350 students and teachers.
