Member News

The Houston chapter of SCBWI includes an incredibly talented group of authors and illustrators! Though it is nearly impossible to keep up with our busy members, this page is our attempt to share the new books, signings, and short publications, by local children's authors and illustrators. Please support your local writers and artists by reading their work and attending their book signings! (For information on inviting them to speak, please see our Speakers page.)

Members please send news about book releases (not sales), award announcements/book signings (local only!), and short publications (on publication) to Webmaster Marianne Dyson for posting on this page. All work must be for children. (Webmaster will post notices as soon as practical after receipt, but please allow at least 3 weeks in case of travel.)

Note: The use of the links to Amazon below generate an affiliate credit to SCBWI-Houston that helps pay for this website and doesn't cost you any extra! You don't have to buy the book whose link you use (though of course we hope you will!), any sales made after using the link, even sales of DVDs or toys, will benefit the chapter. Thanks for your support!
