The critique groups listed below are open to children's writers of all levels. Bring several copies of your manuscript (up to five pages) and join us! If you have never participated in a groupfeel free to sit in for a session or two. Round out your characters, round out your plot, round out your social life

SCBWI-Houston Monthly Critique Sessions

When: Before the monthly SCBWI meeting, from 6:00-7:00 p.m.

Online Book Discussion/Workshop Group
What: Interested members will do exercises from a chosen book to polish their craft. First 2008 book is Writing Tools: 50 Essential Strategies for Every Writer (Roy Clark, Little Brown, 2006). Members must get their own copy of the book. New members can join the workshop at any time.
