Kathy's website!

Kathy Whitehead has taught at the elementary level and loves watching kids connect with a good story.  She holds a Masters degree in Educational Administration from TAMU and is a former Regional Advisor for Brazos Valley SCBWI.

 

 Her picture book Looking for Uncle Louie on the Fourth of July (Boyds Mills Press, 2005) captures the joy of watching an Independence Day parade in Texas complete with the arrival of the customized lowriders.  Look for her picture book biography Art From Her Heart (G.P. Putnam) in the future.

 

Her presentation “From Reader to Author: Writing Across Texas” shares her road to publication.  She would be happy to tailor a presentation to fit your group or curriculum needs.
