Deborah K. Frontiera grew up in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula but has lived in Houston, TX since 1985. She is a kindergarten teacher for Houston ISD, where she has worked on curriculum writing projects and conducted workshops for teachers. Deborah began writing poetry in college, but turned to writing fiction more seriously in 1992. She has been published in poetry, fiction and non-fiction as well as children’s books. Her picture book, Eric and the Enchanted Leaf; The First Adventure, was an honor book for the Golden Spur Award from the Texas State Reading Association in 2005.
