Kathy Duval is the author of The Three Bears’ Halloween(Holiday House, September 2007). Her first book, The Three Bears' Christmas (Holiday House, 2005) was a Bank Street Best Children's Book of the Year and was featured at the Texas Book Festival in 2006. Her poetry appears in Philomel’s anthology, I Invited A Dragon to Dinner and Other Poems to Make you Laugh out Loud and in magazines for children and writers. For years, Kathy inspired creativity in children as an art teacher, art therapist, and school counselor. She brings that experience to her interactive presentations, The Three Bears' Story Time (Grades PK-2), Growing a Story (Grades 1-5), Dreaming Up Great Ideas (Grades 3-5), and The Basics: A Writing Workshop (Grades 3-5).
